WHAT'S NEW IN GENERAL MUSIC?
 
 
In addition to traditional Direct Instruction in general music, K-5th grade students will experience a combination of 6 Centers in the Music Room for music learning and exploration. During each music class, students will experience direct instruction as a whole class and then divide into small groups and visit two to three stations per class period.
The stations are:
  • Mac Lab with new music programs for student learning
  • Music Theory Center – for developing music reading and writing skills
  • Keyboard Lab – for developing piano skills
  • Music Library – for research and enjoyment
  • Music Listening – for exposure to a variety of music genres and composers
  • Music Games – for experiencing music concepts in a fun and interactive way
COMING BACK . . .
3rd & 4th graders will learn to play the recorder
5th graders will participate in the Xylophone Ensemble
