2011-2012 Yearbooks Available for Sale
The 2011-2012 yearbooks are available for sale in the Main Office for $20. Payment can be made by cash, money order, and/or checks made payable to A.N. Pritzker School.

Use Paypal to pay your 2011-12 School Fees
All Pritzker students are accessed a workbook and technology/science lab fee of $65 for the FY 2011-2012 school year. Online payments can be made through PayPal.com by clicking on Add to Cart Button..

Please note in the detail section of your payment your child's name and homeroom #. Applications for fee waivers will be available in the Main Office after Sept. 1st.

Note: Workbooks and technology & science consumable supplies have already been ordered and due to budget reductions, we are asking all parents to pay their child (s) fee by September 16th.
CPS Releases Proposed 2012-13 School Year Calendar
CPS released its proposed 2012-13 school year calendar, which is designed to be more student-focused and sensitive to the scheduling needs of parents and families. The new calendar will increase the number of full weeks in our school year, which will enhance our efforts to boost student achievement. By adding 30 percent more full weeks and 10 additional student attendance days, we also anticipate parents will be able to more easily plan their work and child-care schedules. Letter to Parents: Elementary students will move to a 7 hour school day beginning next fall.
Based on the input from parents across the district, the Mayor and I announced today that all elementary students will move to a 7 hour school day beginning next fall. High school students will move to a 7.5 hour school day with a 75-minute early release one day a week.

The changes to the Full Day reflect hours spent meeting with and gathering feedback from parents from all corners of the city on our plans. We are committed to working as partners with parents to make decisions that will boost achievement of all students
Spring 2012 PTO 8 to 9 Program
PTO and its 8 to 9 Program successfully provides a safe and very cost effective alternative to private childcare, on-site at Pritzker Elementary, at a fraction of the cost of the alternative options. The benefits of an on-site program are obvious: no additional transportation concerns, an already familiar environment for your child, and supervision by a licensed teachers on Pritzker faculty.
CPS Releases Parameters for Full School Day to Increase
Chicago Public Schools (CPS) today released parameters that both elementary and high schools will follow in adopting the full school day for the 2012-13 school year. The 7.5 hour day and 180 day year detailed in both the elementary and high school parameters will move CPS students from the shortest school day and year among the nation’s largest cities to getting it on par with the national average for instructional time in elementary and high school as well as length of the school year.
